Welcome to the National Domestic Violence Awareness Month release of “This Isn’t Love: A Workbook for High School Students on Control & Consent.”

Being a teenager and figuring out relationships can be confusing, exciting, and sometimes painful.

Love should never make you feel small, unsafe, or controlled.

If you have ever questioned whether a relationship felt right, this workbook is here to help you sort through those feelings.

You do not need to have all the answers, and it is okay to feel uncertain, scared, or overwhelmed.

“This Isn’t Love” was created for teens of every background and identity, including LGBTQIA+ youth, to remind you that you deserve respect, care, and safety in every relationship.

Inside, you will find prompts that explore what healthy connection looks like, how to recognize red flags, and what it means to set boundaries that protect your voice.

This is a space where you are encouraged to reflect on what love really means and reminded that control is not care and silence is not safety.

Whether you are in a relationship yourself, watching a friend struggle, or just beginning to think about dating, this workbook offers gentle guidance, meaningful exercises, and reminders that you are not alone.

You are worthy of love that supports your dreams, your friendships, and your dignity.

Let this be a step toward reclaiming your power and building relationships where trust and respect come first.
